WHAT IS SOUND HEALING?

Sound healing is a therapeutic practice that uses instruments such as singing bowls to restore harmony and balance to the body, mind, and spirit. By utilizing sound and its vibrations, this practice guides you toward physical and emotional well-being.

As some may already recognize, balance is essential in all aspects of life: the sun and the moon, the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems, yin and yang, summer and winter, right and left, fire and water. Everything exists in a state of harmony. Sound healing uses the vibrations of singing bowls to help restore this delicate balance within the body.

Singing bowls produce both high-frequency and low-frequency sounds. High frequencies are believed to influence the mind and emotions, while low frequencies are effective for the body. Sound healing essentially “tunes” these frequencies, helping to rebalance your internal systems.

The singing bowls themselves are crafted from metals that are symbolically linked to the eight celestial bodies in our solar system:

  • Sun = Gold
  • Moon = Silver
  • Mars = Iron
  • Mercury = Mercury (note: evaporates during forging, leaving seven metals)
  • Jupiter = Tin
  • Venus = Copper
  • Saturn = Lead
  • Uranus = Zinc

Each singing bowl corresponds to one of the seven chakras, making chakra cleansing and alignment an integral part of some sessions.

The singing bowls I use are handmade in Nepal, carefully selected by myself during my time in India. I personally play each bowl before purchase, as handmade instruments resonate uniquely, and compatibility is crucial—something I learned from my teacher in India. Interestingly, when there is an area of stagnation or imbalance in a client’s body, the bowl’s sound may initially feel muted or unresponsive. However, as the session progresses, clients often notice the tones becoming clearer and richer as energy blockages are released.

My sound healing sessions are entirely original, blending the vibrations of singing bowls with other instruments and, when appropriate, incorporating Ayurvedic massage techniques. Each session is crafted with care and intention to help bring balance to your mind and body, empowering you to live a healthier, more fulfilling life.
